I walk a winding path

I walk a winding path

That holds a cathedral choir

Light fractures stained the window of my open sky

Do you see a universal smile as acceptance peeks through the trees?

I wish you’d let me take your hand and feel the vibrations of all that moves

Bare feet touch the dirt where ancestors tried to teach lessons of lips that sank ships

I am a gaze view

Thunder helps me sleep on nights where my mind won’t let me rest

I come to an opening of a blue meadow

Where blades of grass crash upon the shore

Where winds rough the currents

And divide

Riptide

I love you, but I don’t trust in you

What once was there slipped away into the dusk

Into the light mist before the dawn of vast experience felt…

Drowning - in unreliable thoughts, I am still drenched

They say we made it out

But I still feel a part of me tossing when seas appear calm

Suns and moons have traveled for days and nights now

Time has not healed what was left in the water

Buoys of boundaries

Sandbars draw the lines

Stay Back

I survived your riptide

And I like being on the sand.
